The Smart Contractor word processor is very similar to the Word Pad word processor that comes with Microsoft Windows.
The word processor has a menu bar (across the top of the screen), and a tool bar (across the top of the document window). The menu has the following options:
Menu Bar Options
The File menu has the following options:

| Save the current document. |
| Print the current document. |
| Print Preview |
| View a printer image of the current document. |
| Page Setup |
| Page setup for the current documents. This is where you set the page markups for the current document. |
| Exit |
| Exit the word processor. |
The Edit menu has the following options:
| Undo |
| Undo the last change. |
| Cut |
| Cut (remove) the currently selected text into the "clipboard". |
| Copy |
| Copy the currently selected text into the "clipboard". |
| Paste |
| Paste the contents of the "clipboard" to the current cursor location. |
| Search |
| Search the current document for specific text. |
| Spell Check |
| Spell check the current document. |
The View menu has the following options:

| Check to view the ruler. |
| Status Bar |
| Check to view the Status Bar. |
| Toolbar |
| Check to view the tool bar. |
| Print Preview |
| View a printer image of the current document. |
Tool Bar Options
The Tool Bar buttons appear across the top of the document window. These include:

| Underline Font |
| Change the currently selected text to underlined font. |
| Superscript Font |
| Change the currently selected text to superscript font. |
| Font Color |
| Select the fore color for the currently selected text. |
| Spell Check |
| Spell check the current document. |
| Align Left |
| Align the currently selected text left. |
| Align Right |
| Align the currently selected text right. |
| Align Center |
| Align the currently selected text center. |

| Insert text bullet at the current cursor position. |
