A prevailing wage job is a job that requires employees to be paid pre-determined wage rates for specific types of work.

To designate a job as Prevailing Wage, check the Prevailing Wage Job prompt in the Edit Job form.

When you do, then the prompt for Prev. Wage Rate will become active in the Edit Job Estimate form.

The prompt for Prev. Wage Rate allows you to override the estimated labor cost rate (that you determined by selecting employees in the prompt for Resource) with a prevailing wage rate that will be applied to all employees assigned to work on the item.

The options in the prompt for Prev. Wage Rate are cost rates that you enter in the Labor Cost entry form.
