No, you can run Smart Contractor without QuickBooks, or you can run Smart Contractor with QuickBooks even if you don't know QuickBooks.

In fact, it's even easier if you are not already using QuickBooks. That way Smart Contractor can just do everything in QuickBooks for you without having to conform to anything that's already there. If you've been using QuickBooks, you'll understand when we say that people come up with some pretty gnarly ways to make QuickBooks work for a construction business.
