How do I center my logo in the letterhead that appears in merged documents?

Answer

You use the Setup > Printed Forms menu option to specify various options to format the custom letterhead that prints in merged documents.

Smart Contractor automatically formats the page heading based on the size of the logo image (in order to minimize the amount of page consumed by the heading and to make it look balanced):

First the program scales the logo to fit within a maximim of 7.5 inches wide, and 2 inches high. If the scaled logo image is less than 3.5 inches wide, then the program left justifies it and puts the additional heading text (also specified in the Setup > Printed Forms menu option) to the right of the logo, left justified.

If the scaled logo is >= 3.5 inches wide, then the program centers it, and puts the additional heading text below the logo, centered.

If you want you logo centered in the page, all you need to do is edit it in something like MS Paint and make it wider (with whitespace) that 3.5 inches. If you don't know how to do that, send your logo to us and we'll do it.
